Dr. Frank Anderson, MD, is a prominent Harvard-trained psychiatrist, psychotherapist, author, speaker, and trauma specialist with over three decades of experience in neuroscience and trauma treatment.
He earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Illinois (1985) and his MD from Rush University Medical School (1989). He completed his psychiatry residency and served as a clinical instructor at Harvard Medical School. Early in his career, he worked as a staff psychiatrist at the Trauma Center at the Justice Resource Institute under Bessel van der Kolk.
Dr. Anderson specializes in treating trauma and dissociation, including single-incident trauma, complex PTSD, and dissociative identity disorder.
